Radhika Das and friends are committed to making a positive impact in the world through their work. Below you can find some of the charities that they support and contribute towards.
The Recovery Annex is a not-for-profit Bhakti-inspired recovery program aimed at supporting anyone in their recovery (from addiction) journey. The program utilises the ancient practices of Bhakti, a unique 12-step program, and a conscious lifestyle of goodness. The organisation is also part of the Journey Within Foundation that provides free support for people who need recovery help.
Since 2021, Radhika Das has been involved in helping various recovery groups, by sharing mantra as a method to connect with steps 3 through to 11 in the 12-step programme. As a teacher and practitioner of Bhakti yoga, Radhika Das serves as an ambassador for The Recovery Annex, providing spiritual insight and sharing the methods of Bhakti to assist those in need of recovery help.
Radhika Das hosts his weekly Friday night Kirtans upstairs at OMNOM, a not-for-profit restaurant.
OMNOM presents a unique collaboration for wellness, encapsulating a modern-day approach to eating and wellbeing whilst building a community of change which appeals to everyone.
Compassion and kindness are the key values that drive the project. The gesture is simple yet powerful – when you eat at OMNOM, someone else eats too. For every meal served or for every yoga class attended, OMNOM will feed a child a hot, healthy, nutritionally balanced meal in the developing world providing relief from poverty.
Food For Life Vrindavan was formed 30 years ago with the primary objective of educating young girls.
In India, especially in rural areas, girls are considered a liability. A girl’s education is not a priority. As soon as she reaches puberty, the parents will marry the young girl without her consent in an arranged marriage.
The primary aims and objectives of FFLV are to educate girls in Vrindavan, empowering them to transform their lives and take their families out of the vicious cycle of poverty.
All proceeds from select merchandise sales are donated to FFLV to support the amazing work they are doing.
Save the Children exists to help every child reach their full potential. In more than 100 countries including the UK, the charity helps children stay safe, healthy and keep learning. They lead the way on tackling big problems like pneumonia, hunger and protecting children in war, while making sure each child’s unique needs are cared for.
In July 2020, Radhika Das hosted an event called “Chant for Love and Peace” which raised over $10,000 for Save the Children.
